What films?

Jablo the Wood Blade
More interesting than it sounds! See the amazing time and effort that went into making and repairing the wooden propellers that were fitted to most British fighter aircraft during the second world war. Particular appeal for woodworkers, jaw dropping for the rest of us! Sprinkled lightly with droll Engish humour. 31 min, B+W

Air Pageant at Parafield, Saturday March 22 1930.
Features many familiar aircraft taxying and flying including a crash of VH-ULB. Has D.H.66, Wapitis and all the usual biplanes of the era. Most have regos visible. At end has a short feature on the arrival of Amy Johnston at Flemington and an even shorter piece of Jimmy Melrose arriving at Essendon.
12 min, silent, B+W

Mystery Film

Operation Winch Out
The Pan Am 707 runway overrun at Mascot on 1 December 1969 and consequences. Well shot with good angles.
14 min, colour

International Airline Operation
A 1970s ICAO film on how to run a modern airline, centred on Qantas operations. Features Airways Museum volunteer Ken Watson in a walk in role.
30 min, colour
